Joel Mishler is the Business Department Chair and has been teaching at NorthWood High School since the 2004-2005 school year. He teaches Accounting, Banking and Investment, Intro to Business, and Entrepreneurship.
He and his wife, Kim, have three children: Nic , Zac , and Hannah.
He attended Westview High School. He later went on to study at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. He graduated with a degree in Business Management.
He has previously worked as an entrepreneur. He owned and operated a restaurant, bakery, and Bed & Breakfast business for 21 years and is still in the commercial real estate business. He was also a head college baseball coach for ten years as the head coach at Glen Oaks C. C. and has served as an associate scout for the Tampa Bay Rays, Florida Marlins and Baltimore Orioles.
