Looking for something on this site?

On this page, we'll guide you through creating a new account and then show you what Edline offers. Before we begin I'll explain in more detail each component of Edline:

Edline Portal - This is the home page of the Edline portal. When you create an account and sign in, this will be the Home of Edline. From here you can select a child and view their classes, grade reports, and attendance. We'll demonstrate how to do this below using video tutorials.

Classroom Web Pages - Each class is given its own web site. The teacher is tasked with the maintenance of this site. There are several elements to each site:
  • A picture with room for a description of the class. Most teachers will use this to describe the class.
  • News - Teachers will post news items regarding upcoming projects, notices, and other relevant information to the class.
  • Calendar - At this point in our implementation you won't likely find many teachers using the calendar. However, if they do use it you will find upcoming dates of importance, assigned homework with accompanying instructions and/or documents.
  • Contents - Teachers can publish documents here. Many of them have posted their classroom syllabus for you to review in this section.
  • Links - These are bookmarks to sites that the teacher finds relevant to their class.

New Account Creation
Before we begin, you should have an activation code for each child that is actively enrolled in grades 6 through 12.
  • Our video tutorials require you first install the Flash plug-in to function properly.
With activation codes in hand, let's launch the account creation tutorial video by clicking the play button below. Please make sure your volume is turned on. Using the controls at the bottom of our video tutorials you can adjust the sound level, make the video full screen, and pause the playback.
