Dear Parents/Guardians,
The month of February is a critical time for us to complete the necessary state assessments to keep students on-track to graduate. This year all 11th grade students will need to participate in ISTEP+ testing. A passing score will allow them to meet one of the graduation requirements.
We will be conducting a two-hour delay schedule on 6 days in the month of February to provide a safe and secure testing environment. Monday, February 1st through Friday February 5th as well as Monday February 22nd will be the dates for the two-hour delays. We will have ALL 11th graders and some 12th graders completing the ISTEP+ exams.
The following are the logistics for the two-hour delay schedule.
- Students riding the bus: Buses will run at the normal times and students coming to school at the regular scheduled time will report to the Media Center.
- Students taking the ISTEP+: Students will be assigned a specific classroom for testing which will be communicated as we get closer to the testing dates.
- Students coming to school on the two-hour delay schedule: Students will report directly to their first hour class at 9:55 A.M.
The following is the two-hour delay schedule:
ISTEP+ Two-Hour Delay Schedule:
Monday, February 1st thru Friday February 5th & Monday February 22nd
1st Period | 10:00 to 10:41 A.M. |
2nd Period | 10:46 to 11:27 A.M. |
3rd Period | 11:32 to 12:58 P.M. |
Lunch | 11:27 to 12:58 P.M. |
4th Period | 1:03 to 1:44 P.M. |
5th Period | 1:49 to 2:30 P.M. |
The ISTEP+ is required by the State of Indiana and allows students to meet one of the requirements for graduation with a passing score. Students participation is critical to staying on-track to graduate.
Sincerely,
