NORTHWOOD HIGH SCHOOL - MORNING ANNOUNCMENTS

Anyone who is interested in running for a student council position should expect information to come after Spring Break. Pay attention to your emails regarding applications.

 

NorthWood JV Baseball team lost 10-3 to Mishawaka Marian last night.  Cody Lambert threw well in relief striking out 6 and walking 0. Logan Perry, Beau Patterson, and Grant Clemans all had one hit to lead NorthWood.  Gage Gongwer and Nate Newcomer had a day yesterday leading NorthWood’s varsity to a 26-12 victory over Mishawaka Marian. Gongwer had 4 hits with 2 doubles, 3 RBIs, and set a school record scoring 6 times. This record stood at 5 runs which had been tied a few times dating back to 1988. Nate Newcomer would go 3-5 with a single, triple, and a grand slam. Nate Newcomer finished the game with a school record 8 RBIs, surpassing a record that has stood since 1993 by Jeff Hartzell.  NorthWood Panthers collected 17 hits on the day. Gongwer, Newcomer, Jacob Raasch, Kyle Sellers, Beau Stankovich, and Logan Balasa each had multiple hits. The Panthers return to action Monday, April 12th when they host West Noble. Be sure to come out to the game for a chance at some free swag!
