March 23, 2021
Dear WCS Families,
We hope your families are doing well as we step into Spring. Thank you in advance for your understanding, flexibility and partnership during the 2020-2021 school year. What a year this has been for everyone and we could not have done it without each and every one of you. This community is truly amazing.
We are excited to share that our WCS staff has been able to take advantage of a Vaccination Clinic for Educators through a partnership with Goshen Community Schools and our local Meijer for which we are extremely grateful. However, because of the dates and timing made available to our staff, the second dose will be administered on Wednesday, March 31st. Due to the likelihood of flu like side effects that are more common after the second dose, we have decided that it would be best to proactively utilize a scheduled e-learning day rather than closing schools on the morning of April 1st due to the lack of substitute teachers.
During our planned e-learning day, each school cafeteria will offer “e-learning meals” for students. These packed meals will be available for grab and go on Wednesday, March 31st when students leave the school building.
If you have questions or needs as we prepare for our scheduled e-learning day on April 1st, please feel welcome to contact your child’s school or our administration office.
Thank you,
Scot D. Croner, PhD
Superintendent
