NWHS Announcements: 02/18/2020

=         The Varsity Girls basketball team defeated Mishawaka Marian 44-38 and Knox 43-30 on Saturday to win the Jimtown Regional.  They play Benton Central this Saturday at LaPorte.  Tip is 1:00 pm our time.  We had an awesome student section on Saturday, and we’ll need it again this weekend

=         The Fine Arts Academic Team will NOT practice today. 

=         Any student interested in being a partner athlete for Unified Track, please plan on attending a short meeting in Mrs. Lechlitner’s room (919) this Wednesday during homeroom. 


=         ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: Early Release Waivers need to be signed by a parent or guardian and returned to school so you may leave at 2:25 pm on Friday, Feb. 21st. Waivers should be placed in the box outside of the Main Office & MUST be returned by the start of 1st period on Feb. 21st.

=         The Choir Department will present the Winter Choir Concert this Sunday, February 23 in the auditorium at 2:30. Admission is free so bring your friends and come enjoy an afternoon of music!

=         FCDC Souper Bowl Work Day: You’re invited to produce soup bowls for the FCDC Soup for A Cause event at: Coppes Commons. 10:00 to 4:00 on Saturday, February 22nd.  See Miss Emenhiser to pick up a permission slip.


  • Loveway, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that uses Therapeutic Equestrian Services to benefit those with special needs within our community. Volunteers are needed for the upcoming spring semester. Ms. Arica will be here on Wed. Feb. 26th, during all lunch periods to speak with anyone interested in more information.

  • The Cultural Diversity Club is hosting a guest-speaker night featuring Mrs. McGowen, Mrs. Willsey, and more. Come join us for an enriching evening of the importance of diversity. Join us on February 27 from 6:00-7:00 p.m. at the NorthWood Middle School LGI. Refreshments will also be provided. This is a free event, and ALL ARE WELCOME.
