  • Thanks to all who have participated in German-American week. This week is to remind us that we live in a global community. We have been influenced by many cultures and we must realize that we are closely intertwined. The world lives and works together. Here is the last clue. This man developed toothpaste as we know it today in a small laboratory in the attic above his Dresden pharmacy.   In 1907, this man created Chlorodent, a peppermint flavored paste made from a mixture of pumice powder, soap, and calcium carbonate. He filled flexible metal tubes with the mixture and invented the modern toothpaste, as we know it. If you know the German inventor of Chlorodent, stop by Frau Grimm´s room. Good luck!
