On Monday, June 28, 2021, Mr. Weston Lambert was unanimously approved by the Wa-Nee Community School Board of School Trustees to become the new principal at NorthWood High School.
Mr. Lambert comes to NorthWood with over 14 years of combined educational and leadership experience. Most recently, he served as the assistant principal at NorthWood Middle School during the 2020-21 school year. Prior to his arrival at NWMS, Mr. Lambert served as the assistant principal at Riley High School and the Dean of Students at LaSalle Academy in South Bend, IN.
Superintendent Scot Croner stated “during the interview process, our selection team screened a large number of outstanding principal candidates. This is a testament to the culture of excellence our staff and community has created at NorthWood. Mr. Lambert quickly rose to the top of our candidate list due to his successful experiences as an instructional leader and his reputation for building strong relationships with students, families, and staff.”
Mr. Lambert was born and raised in a family of educators in Pittsburgh, PA. He attended Liberty University where he graduated with a degree in Health and Physical Education while also playing Division 1 football and baseball. In 2018 Mr. Lambert earned his master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Ball State University. Mr. Lambert is married to his wife Jessica Lambert and is the father of three children: Madelyn (10), Preston (3), and Boston (1).
Upon his approval by the WCS Board of Trustees, Mr. Lambert stated, “I am truly honored to be given this opportunity and look forward to immersing myself completely in our school and our community.”
Dr. Croner noted his appreciation to Roman Smith, Steve Bowser, Amy Rosa, Stephanie Neff, Jay Olson, Gretchen Thomas, Jenn Wise, and Lindsay London for their assistance in the selection process. Mr. Lambert is scheduled to officially begin serving as the Principal of NorthWood High School on July 1, 2021.
