Today is a RED day.

This Friday, March 31, is the final day to order a yearbook. Orders may be turned in on the cafeteria stage before school.
 
Attention, wrestlers! There is open matt wrestling practice tonight from 5:30-7. Any wrestler wanting a poster needs to bring in $10 by Friday.
 
Do you enjoy games or crafts? The Wakarusa Public Library has events in April and May just for you. Come and pick up a flyer in the window of the main office with information about these events. You can also pick up a flyer about the Library’s Summer Reading Club where you can earn prizes for reading over the summer.  
 
The high school girls' basketball team will be hosting a Spring Basketball Camp for all 6th and 7th grade girls who are interested in playing basketball. If you like dribbling, passing, shooting, playing fun games, and spending time with friends – then make sure to be at the spring basketball camp! You will also get to hang out with many of the high school basketball coaches and players! Registration forms can be picked up in the window of the main office. Remember, if you want a camp t-shirt, your registration form must be turned in ON TIME!
 
Reminder! 6th grade volleyball season is starting soon. If you need a form, it can be found in the window of the main office. This is for ALL 6th graders interested in a fun time! 
 
Calling all 8th grade boys interested in playing Soccer next fall at the High School. Please pick up the information sheet located in front of the office. Open practice starts April 10th so be sure to get the schedule.
 
The NorthWood Girls Soccer team is searching for 8th grade girls who are seriously interested in playing soccer in high school. If this is you, please see Mrs. Swihart in the library.  Mrs. Swihart has a sign-up sheet for you till fill out. Please provide ALL information asked on the sign-up sheet. The sign-up sheet will be turned in to Coach Shields by March 31st so sign up as soon as you can. 
 
Congratulations to all students who competed in the 2023 Math Contest!  The results from across the state are in:
Our NWMS 7th grade finished 9th in the state!  Our 7th grade champion, Creed Schlipf, placed 34th in the state!
Our NWMS 8th grade finished 4th in the state!  Our 8th grade champion, Landon Hahn, placed 9th in the state!  Additionally, Carson Golden placed 22nd, Breanna Dye placed 28th, Lydia Paul placed 35th, and Brodie Benner, Kamden Hershberger, Ethan Miller, and Nicalys O’Brien tied for 40th in the state!

The 6 middle school robotics teams did a FANTASTIC job this past weekend at State! 
~Pop Lock & Sprocket (Jada Curtis, Haley Oltman, Malyk Duncan, Seb Chapman, Ethan Tompos & Nolan Tompos) won the Excellence Award, finished 3rd in finals and 4th in skills!
~Warriorz (Kaden Yoder, James Jessup, Claire Cunningham, Braden Wuthrich, Natalie Geahart, Brody Freeland & Mac Garner) won the Innovate Award and finished 19th in finals!
~Wildcardz (Lucas Yoder, Collin King, Creed Schlipf, Gracie Carter, Bre Dye, Tanner Maxwell, Kody Sprague) won the Design Award and finished 15th in finals!
~Donuts (Micah Kauffman, Tyler Mathews, Jaden Stanford, Peyten Disher, Vince Sims, Natalie Kiefer, Aiden McEndarfer) finished 5th in finals!
~Ranch in a Bag (Macy Birch, Eli Hertzel, Hannah Mattern, Xander Knepp, Jalayne Hurst, Deegan Smith) finished 78th in Qualifying!
~Echo (Cam Gross, Andrew Protzman, Brayden Dale, Kylie Holmes, Riley Davidhizar, Grady Claywell) finished 19th in finals!
