Today is a BLACK day.
The following students were caught being kind last week and should stop by Mrs. Anglemyer’s room (813 upstairs near the elevator) for a prize! Kyler Miller, Brayden Dale, Liza Pryshchepa, Ilia Charavaka, Diana Iashchenko, Addison Stump, Cadrie Williams, and Zoey Estes.
Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, if you are interested in joining the Ski and Snowboard Club which goes to Swiss Valley on Friday nights, pick up a form in room 707 or the window of the main office.
Advisory classes…start thinking up door decorating ideas now! After Thanksgiving Break, our annual contest will begin. The theme for this year’s door decorating contest is Christmas Gone Wrong. Each door should be decorated in any other holiday, but Christmas, while still adding at least one Christmas character to the display. Only the door and surrounding walls will be judged. All decorating needs to be finished by the end of the day Wednesday, December 20. Judging will occur the next day with the winning teams from each grade taking part in a Bowser/Sears punishment. Get your ideas flowing now!
Two of our middle school teams (Donuts and Echo) competed down in Speedway this weekend at the Speedway Signature Event. This event is a step above the State Championship, in that teams from all over could compete. We had some of the best teams across the continent in attendance, including teams from Ontario, British Columbia, California, Wisconsin, Missouri, Alabama, Colorado, and many more.
Echo ended up finishing 21st in Skills and 32nd in Qualifications out of all teams in attendance and brought home the CREATE AWARD for having a creative and innovative robot design. They are now ranked 10th in Indiana out of 528 teams.
Donuts finished 26th in Skills and 36th in Qualifications out of everyone and are now ranked 18th in Indiana out of 528 teams.
