Today is a RED day.

Girl’s Wrestling practices will start this Friday, October 4th. You must sign up with Coach Lone to ride the shuttle bus after school or you will not be allowed to go. You must have your parents fill out all paperwork online, located on the NorthWood Middle School website or you will not be allowed to go. Get signed up for text alerts on Sportsyou. Information can be found in the window of the main office.   

Today’s Panther Events
Tonight, the Varsity Volleyball teams will take on North Side at North Side Middle School at 5:00 pm. 
 
The Cross-Country team will race at Shanklin Park in Goshen tonight at 5:00 pm. 
 
The 7th and 8th Grade Football teams will play Northridge tonight. The 7th Grade plays at NorthWood High School at 5:00 pm, and the 8th grade plays at Northridge High School at 6:00 pm.
 
Panther Athletic Results
 
On Saturday, the NorthWood Cross Country teams travelled to Elkhart to compete with 8 other schools in the Woodland Trails Invitational. NorthWood was victorious in all 4 races with 67 Panthers notching their best times of the year.
 
In the girls' varsity race, Lizzie Kinney's time of 12:42 earned her 6th place out of 36 runners. Close behind was Avah Stichter taking 7th with a time of 12:44. Denise Flora was 9th, Marin Laskowski took 10th, Ayanna Kafatia finished 14th, Avery Mast placed 19th and Ivy Leeper was 26th.
 
In the girls' JV race, the Panther pack dominated, taking 9 of the top 10 and 17 of the top 20 places. Julianna Maxwell was able to run her fastest time of the year and claim 1st place in a time of 13:27. Close behind her in 2nd with a time of 13:29 was Sky Miller. Addison Mckerchie took 3rd, Morgan Stump finished 4th, Kathrynn Miller placed 5th, Pia Roeder was 7th, Ellie Reynolds took 8th, Jillian Golden finished 9th, Myleigh Geleske placed 10th, Josephine Garber was 11th, Taitum Rowe took 12th, Chloe Myers finished 13th, Kaydance Judy placed 14th, Jenna Kauffman was 16th, Peyton Freeland took 17th, Jocelyn Maxwell finished 19th and Mazie Cleveland was 20th.
Miranda Mattern was most improved, dropping almost 2 minutes off her previous best time. Great work Panthers!
 
The 8th grade varsity volleyball team lost to Edgewood in two sets. Presley Lechlitner, Lily Thompson and Maddie Sotebeer led the serving. Grace Thompson and Presley Lechlitner led the hitting. Ja’Mya Nelson and Lily Thompson led the blocking.
