NWHS Announcements: Tuesday,
Dec. 17th, 2019Tonight, in the Panther Pool is Senior
night. Come help us celebrate our eight seniors as we swim and dive against
Wawasee. Dive will start at 5pm!
The annual Caffeine for a Cause coffee and hot chocolate bar is back.
Premium coffee and hot chocolate will be available from 730 to 755 each morning
Tuesday through Friday from the south surge concession stand. Proceeds
from this event will benefit Family Christian Development Center. Caffeine for
a Cause don’t miss it!
TODAY is the last day to buy your Semi-formal
tickets for $12 in the North Surge. The dance will be
at Amish Acres, on Thursday, January 2nd, 8 – 11 pm.
Prom Club will meet during
homeroom in Mrs. Evers room, 818, to vote on the prom theme.
The
Art Department is selling
blank cards and Christmas cards with student art work this month! We will have
a card writing station in South Surge the week before Christmas, but you can
pre-purchase to make sure we don’t run out. We can deliver the cards in school
to the recipients on Friday before Christmas break during 1st or 4th
hour.
Juniors
and Seniors: We will be
offering the ACT test at NorthWood High School on Tuesday, February 25th.
You can sign up in the Counseling Office beginning January 6th until
January 17th. However, space is limited so sign up early to
secure your spot. The cost is $45.50 and can be paid with cash or a check
made payable to the high school. If you are a student with an IEP, 504 or
an English Language Learner and normally receive accommodations such as
extended time on tests, please notify Ms. Sipic THIS WEEK that you plan
to test. Requests for accommodations must be made before we leave for
break. Unfortunately, fee waivers cannot be used for this administration
of the ACT.
