MORNING ANNOUNCMENTS

THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3, 2020

 

  • If you are interested in becoming an FFA member and are not in Mrs. Beer’s classes this trimester, please stop by her room #610 to pick up an FFA Callout meeting card.

 

  • Fall softball workouts will start next week. We will practice on Tuesday and Wednesdays after school 3:15-5:00. This will start on Tuesday the 8th at the softball field

 

  • The RUHE Road Runners Suicide Prevention “A Run for Purpose” will be Tuesday, September 8, 2020 from 6pm-9pm.  

September 6 – September 12 is National Suicide Prevention Week, along with the month of September being National Suicide Prevention month.  Suicide is a national health problem that currently ranks as the 2nd leading cause of death for ages 10-24.  Suicide is also one of the leading causes of preventable death in our nation.  Join us for this special 3 mile run/walk as we come together as a community to raise awareness for suicide prevention.  Show your support and wear purple and teal.  This is a FREE event.  All ages & paces are welcome.

 

  • Congratulations to the boys cross country team for a solid performance last night.   The boys posted victories over Concord, Mishawaka, Plymouth, and Wawasee placing 4th in the NLC.  The boys also achieved a new team record time for their home course of 17 minutes 42 seconds for 3.1 miles. Great job men!” 

 

  • Girls Cross Country has had a busy week of great racing.  On Tuesday, August 25, they placed 6th at the Warsaw Invitational.  Kaitlin Burden was 3rd overall.  Last Saturday, the Lady Panthers were 3rd in the NorthWood Invitational.  Kaitlin was the individual girls champion.  Last night, they won 4 and lost 3 contests in the NLC Super Dual Meet held at our home course.  Kaitlin finished 2nd overall.  Other top 5 runners for the Girls Cross Country team have been Emilie Allen, Reese Barhydt, Jenna Markham, Britton Jesse, Savannah Slone, and Bridgette Stutsman.  Bridgette was also the JV individual girls champion on Saturday.
  • The boys varsity soccer team defeated Lakeland last by a score of 10-0. Andre De Freitas led the scoring with 4 goals. Both varsity and JV take on Bremen tomorrow at home with JV beginning at 5:00 pm

 

  • Attention Baseball Players: Workouts start today at 3:30 at the varsity field. Dressed and ready to go. Next practice will be this Saturday afternoon from 12-2
