On Tuesday, the strong, fast and nimble 7th & 8th-grade girls track and field team traveled to Dunlap to compete with 11 other schools in the conference finals. The Panthers threw, jumped, and ran to some of the best performances in their final contest of the year.

Scoring points for the 7th-grade team were Rachel Chupp, Jordyn McMillan, Sami Vance, Lily Reaker, Gwen Winslow, Maddy Barrett, Ava Tyler, Kinzee Hartman, Emerson Hahn, Lizzy Hertsel, and Avery Hess.  Lily Reaker was the conference champion in the long jump, soaring to an amazing mark of 14 feet and 3 inches, just inches away from a new school record.  Placing in the 8th-grade meet were Faith Towler, Kyla Mishler, Aaniah Bonner, Hanna Clyde, Cali Miller, Claire Owens, Naima Ghaffar, Aaliah Weisand, and Kennedy Griffin.

Hanna Clyde took 7 seconds off her school record, running a blistering time of 5:41.99 in the 1600-meter run.
Aaniah Bonner was the high point scorer for the team, taking 2nd in the 100, 3rd in the High Jump and 3rd in the 200.
Congratulations on an excellent season, Panthers!
