Scholastic Book Fairs

In our Media Center, we encourage reading in many ways.  The Media Center is open for checking out books every school day.  Classes come to hear stories and work on information skills each week.  This year we are lucky enough to have an Interactive White Board to  use in our library.  We also have fun with books using puppets, readers'  theater and acting out parts of the story.  We work on learning about locating information in the Media Center using the Dewey Decimal System and the online catalog.  We have a Book Fair every year and work with  teachers on getting collections of books into their rooms when they are  studying a certain subject or author.
