Today is a BLACK day.

Attention, the wrestling team is in need of a few managers. If you are organized and work well with others, consider applying. Pick up a manager application form from Mr. DeMien this week. All applications are due by this Friday.
 
Are you ready for a great spring musical? Disney’s Newsies Jr. is coming to NorthWood Middle School. The audition packet is available outside the office. Please take the packet home, read it, and sign up for an audition spot on the display case in the surge. Get ready to show off your talents and have some fun together. If you are interested in backstage work only, please wait for the callout in January when crews will be explained and selected.  
 
8th grade boys interested in playing soccer next fall in high school are invited to start coming out to high school open gym practices. Winter open gym practices will be every Tuesday and Thursday from 7:30pm-9:00pm
inside the AC at the High School starting December 5th. Pick up a flyer in the window of the main office for more information. We highly encourage 8th graders to come out to get a head start for next season!
 
Any 7th grade girl interested in playing girls basketball should sign up on Mrs. Green’s door.
 
All 8th grade girls who signed up to try out for basketball or any 8th grade girl still interested in trying out need to see Mr. Hess before lunch today to get a schedule of tryout dates. 
 
Attention all 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, if you are interested in joining the Ski and Snowboard Club which goes to Swiss Valley on Friday nights, pick up a form in room 707 or the window of the main office.
 
Attention wrestlers! Make sure you order your shirt and shorts by this Friday. All apparel orders are due by this Friday for the first order.   
 
The Indiana Music Educators Association and Mrs. Wisler are pleased to announce five NorthWood Middle School students have been chosen for the All-State Honor Choir. Hudson Bell, Gracie Carter, Silas Fervida, Brinqley Parvu-Timmer, and Jasmin Royer completed successful auditions and will join a group of 150 singers from the entire state. The honor choir gathers in January to present a concert at The Embassy Theater in downtown Ft. Wayne.   
 
Panther Athletic Results
 
The 8th Grade Boys Basketball Varsity team is now 8-7 after a dominate performance at home against Northside. We came out hot with a 19-2 start in the first quarter and kept our lead all night, ending at 51-24. It was a team effort across the board with steals, assists, and points. Malyk led the team with 14 points in the first half alone, and Ben led the team in the second half with 8. Braylon Monroe had 7, Brody had 6, and Ethan had 5. We play our first conference tournament game at home this Thursday against Goshen, so come cheer us on!
