Today is a RED day.
During Advisory today, you will be taking ILEARN, so you will need to report to your Advisory or testing location with your device, charger, a pencil, and a book to read. Cell phones, smart watches, and trappers should be left in lockers. At the end of the day today, all students will leave their devices in their advisory teacher’s classroom.
Good luck on ILEARN!
The high school cross country and track coaches will be present this Friday during the 8th grade lunch to meet with individuals interested in either high school cross country or track.
Attention all 7th grade students ONLY: 2025-2026 student council applications are available outside the office and are due by Wednesday, May 7. Elections will take place in your ELA class on Friday, May 9. The purpose of the NWMS student council is to develop leadership, encourage student involvement, and promote activities for the best interest of our school. You may apply even if you weren't on the council this past year. If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Cramer.
Attention 8th grade students ONLY. If you would like to apply for Student Council for next year at the high school, pick up an application from the front office. You will need to pick up an application and THREE teacher evaluation forms that you will need to distribute to three of your teachers. All applications and teacher evaluations are due by Friday, May 9th and you will be informed if you are accepted in student council by the end of the school year. Any questions, please see Mrs. Cramer
All library books are due after ILEARN testing on May 9th so Mrs. Hampel can get the library ready for some summer improvements. If you have fines for lost or damaged books, please make arrangements to settle those before that date as well. Mrs. Hampel is hoping to offer one more prize to classes who get books back and fines paid on time.
Finally, May 9th is also the last day to turn in bookmarks for the Battle of the Books challenge. Mrs. Hampel can get you a new one if you've lost yours.
