The
Varsity Girls Basketball team
improved to 17-2 overall and 5-0 in the NLC with a 54-33 win over Wawasee in
the PIT. Kate Rulli led the scoring with 29 points. We had an
awesome crowd Saturday and will need all your support again tomorrow night
versus Tippecanoe Valley!
The NorthWood Bowling team
participated in Sectionals this weekend. Congratulations to Skyler Duerksen won
the Individual Championship and Tanner Bunch who finished 4th. Both bowlers
advanced to this Saturday's Regional in Fort Wayne.
ATTENTION students
interested in the NORTHWOOD HIGH SCHOOL
TRAP CLUB: Any student that signed up for or is wanting to be part of
the NorthWood Trap Team...there will be a parent informational meeting Monday,
January 13 at 7 o'clock PM at the Nappanee Conservation Club. See Mr.
Hummel for an informational flyer to take home to your parents.
Auditions
for this year’s spring musical “Annie” will take place TODAY
and tomorrow
4th at 6pm in the choir room. Auditions
are open to all NW students, regardless of previous experience. Pick up a
packet this week in the choir room and see Mr. Cramer with any questions!
Join
the yearbook staff for the 2020-2021 Yearbook Staff call-out meeting on Wednesday,
January 15 during homeroom. Check your email and sign up using the FORM
link if you plan to attend.
Juniors: Course requests are now
open in Skyward. Please have as much of this completed before your
appointment as possible. Mrs. Birr emailed your appointment. Stop
by the counseling office if you have questions.
NorthWood will be
offering the ACT
at school on Tuesday, February 25th at 8:00 am. Space
is limited. Bring $45.50 in a check or cash to the Counseling Office to
reserve your spot. Fee waivers cannot be used for this test
administration. The last day to sign up is Thursday, January 16th.
All Juniors with a GPA of
3.5 or
above are invited to apply to become a member of the National Honor Society. Applications can be picked up in the
media center, and all applications are due January 24th.
Save
the date for the annual All-You-Can-Eat
Nelson’s Dinner on Friday, January 31 from 4:30-7:30 in the cafeteria.
Proceeds benefit the NorthWood Academic Teams, BPA, and National Honor Society.
