Announcements 9.13.21

  • Key Club will have its first meeting this Wednesday during homeroom in the cafeteria. Key Club is a service club that does volunteer projects for the school and community. Anyone can join. If you are interested in joining, plan to attend the meeting this week during homeroom in the cafeteria. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Rowe. 
 
  • Congratulations Red Regiment!
Red Regiment had their first competition at Goshen HS this past Saturday.   The band swept all captions: Best Music, Best Visual, Best General Effect and brought home a 1st Place finish.
 
  • All students: Please do not touch the decorations in the hallways.  Your student council reps worked very hard to decorate yesterday and we would like to see the halls decorated all week
     
     
Homecoming events kick off tonight! Mud volleyball will begin at 6:30 and the bonfire will follow. Points will be awarded for the volleyball competition, so get as many classmates as you can to help secure a win!
 
  • The Over-All Winners of the Cookie Bake Off: The 3rd period Blue Kitchen with a Red Velvet Cheesecake Cookie.  Lab members are: Alexia Sterling, Abigail Thornton, Mackenzie Richmond and Aaron Hilty.
     
     
  • The boy’s cross-country team had a solid day on Saturday placing 2nd as a team in the varsity race and 1st in the JV race out of 15 teams.  The cross-country teams are in action on Tuesday on Warsaw.  Great job runners!
 
  • Anyone interested in joining the Wrestling Team should meet during homeroom this Wednesday for a meeting in the cafeteria.
     
     
  • Ancilla College will be here today. Please visit their table outside of the cafeteria during lunch hour and see what they have to offer.
 
  • Girls XC
The Girls Cross Country Team finished 6th overall at the Minuteman Classic, while Burden took the 6th place individual finish.

  • Boys XC
Our Boys Cross Country Team finished 2nd overall, while the JV team placed 1st! There were 12 lifetime PR's ran this Saturday.
 
  • JV Football
The JV Football team defeated Goshen 38-8!
 
  • Girls Soccer
The Girls Soccer team downed Jimtown 4-0 over the weekend!
 
  • Varsity Volleyball - The Varsity Volleyball Team won the Concord Invitational Championship on Saturday, sweeping Plymouth, West Noble, New Prairie, and Concord
 
  • Girls Golf - The Girls Golf Team were crowned NLC Champions at Bent Oak on Saturday! They posted a team score of 348 to defeat Plymouth by nearly 20 strokes. Cybil Stillson was the Individual conference Champions, shooting a 73. Riley Kitson shot a 85 to finish 4th overall, and Breanna Goss finished 6th overall with an 86. All three were named to the NLC All Conference Team. Bella Sechrist shot a 104 and was named to the NLC Honorable Mention Team!
 
  • Cybil Stillson also became only the second individual to ever win the NLC Individual title 4 years in a row within the NLC!
