Wa-Nee Community Schools has earned an “A” rating from the Indiana Department of Education for four out of the last five years. This is a title that has been earned through hard work and collaboration of an entire district. This includes administration, staff, students, families as well as the community. The Wa-Nee instructional staff has taken the time to dig deep into the standards to make sure they are teaching what is critical and that they are meeting students where they are instructionally. This means at their instructional level, but also differentiating in order to best meet the students’ needs.
Wa-Nee teachers meet weekly to collaborate and discuss student achievement and hone their craft in order to continually refine their practice and ensure all students are succeeding. There are also instructional coaches that work with staff to assist in the planning and implementation of research-based best instructional practice.
