NorthWood High School is a comprehensive four-year school, known for its high academic achievement as well as its extra-curricular accomplishments. The school is located between the communities of Wakarusa and Nappanee and embodies the motto “A Tradition of Excellence.” The current school enrollment is approximately 900 students in grades 9 through 12. There are 53 faculty instructors of which thirty percent have 5 or fewer years, fifty percent have 6-20 years, and twenty percent have more than 20 years of service.

NorthWood students consistently exceed the expectations of local, state, and federal mandates in the area of student performance measured through ECA, SAT, ACT, and AP/ACP scores and courses. Over sixty-five percent of the student body participates in some form of extra-curricular activities. Athletically, NorthWood is a member of the Northern Lakes Conference and is very competitive in IHSAA and conference contests. Our instrumental and vocal music students are equally active in ISSMA contests and have experienced a great deal of success. Additionally, our FFA and Yearbook programs have been recognized annually through successful competitions at the state and national level.

Parents, friends, and local citizens are encouraged to be a vital part of our school. Please contact us if you would like to partner with us in our endeavors to provide outstanding educational experiences and opportunities for our students.
