Welcome to STEM!

We aim to develop innovative and imaginative solutions to problems and enhance computer literacy with a heavy concentration on critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Our curriculum in engineering, science, and math is aligned with NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) and includes a combination of projects and experiments. Student’s work generally is not focused on the initial outcome, but the opportunity to find ways to improve the design or accuracy. They are encouraged to think outside the box and develop creative plans or ways of thinking.

Computer literacy is taught through computer exercises and programs that allow students to learn about how a computer works, internet safety, and keyboarding skills.

Coding is also a large part of our curriculum. We use code.org for all grade levels to learn the basic skills of coding. These skills are then turned into projects and put to the test using Botley robots.

I enjoy seeing each child get excited to show me their creations and look forward to what each new week brings!
