I am so excited to come on board as your Principal! I have spent many years visiting this area, as my husband was born and raised in Bremen and it has always felt like a community I wanted to be a part of. In spending time at Wakarusa Elementary, I can already sense that this is a strong community with wonderful staff and families. I am looking forward to continuing our culture of excellence.

A bit about me: I grew up in rural Appalachia before attending Miami University followed by Marian University and Ball State University for graduate work. At Ball State my focus was on High Ability/Gifted and Talented instruction. I started my career as a Middle School English teacher before transitioning to an Assistant Principal and then most recently a Principal with Muncie Community Schools. We recently welcomed our daughter Josephine Grace and couldn’t be more thrilled to raise our family here.

Our dedicated staff provide rigorous and differentiated instruction to meet the needs of all of our students. Working in partnership with you, I am excited to see the growth our students will make both academically as well as socially and emotionally.
