First Grade

Pictures of Miss Blomgren, Mrs. Gross, and Mrs. Reinhardt

Miss Erin Blomgren:

I was born and raised in Rockford, IL. I graduated from Bethel University in December 2019 with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a minor in American Sign Language. I moved to Indiana permanently in 2020 and currently live in Mishawaka. I joined the Nappanee Bulldog family as an assistant in 20221, but am so thrilled to be teaching first grade now!

I love watching first graders learn and grow and I am so excited to have the opportunity to help them do just that!

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me at [email protected] with any questions or concerns.

Mrs. Krystalynn Gross:

In 2006, I was given the privilege of beginning my teaching career at Nappanee Elementary. I love teaching first grade! I have also had the opportunity to teach kindergarten, second grade, and reading recovery. I enjoy the time that I am able to spend with my 1st graders and strive to create a learning environment where each child feels comfortable and successful.

In 2002, I graduated from NorthWood High School and later graduated from Grace College with my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. My husband, Pat and I were married in 2007. We have two boys. Camden is 13, and he is in 7th grade. He loves being a part of Wa-Nee Robotics and also loves to play baseball.  Connor is 11, and he is a 5th grader. He loves being a part of the NES Robotics team and enjoys playing soccer and baseball. We currently live in Nappanee and love spending time outdoors with our golden retriever, Macy.

Parent involvement is an important part of a child's education. Never hesitate to contact me with any questions, concerns, or ideas that you have. Feel free to email me at [email protected].

Mrs. Emily Reinhardt:

I am originally from Angola, IN and graduated from Grace College with a degree in Elementary Education and minor in Biology in 2020. I have taught 5th and 1st grade. I love the excitement 1st graders have each day as they are learning! Providing students with a safe environment to learn is very important to me. I love watching how much students grow academically in 1st grade while using a hands-on learning approach through the use of many stations and sensory learning activities.
My husband and I currently live in Nappanee and enjoy being part of the community. We enjoy taking our dog CJ on walks, spending time with family, and swimming outside.

Parent communication is vital to a student's success in school. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call me with any questions and concerns.
