I have been a Registered Nurse for 27 years. I graduated from Indiana University School of Nursing, South Bend, Indiana. My past experience includes: Pediatrics, Pediatric ICU, Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, and Family Practice. I was the Founder of Goshen Health Systems “Children with a Difference” Support Group and still serve on the Goshen Health Patient and Family Advisory Council. I am also the President of Your Compassionate Nurse Inc., a Private Duty Nursing Company.
My motto is “Healthy and Happy Students are Better Learners”. My mission as the School Nurse is to support a student’s success by providing compassionate health care through assessment, intervention, and follow-up within the school setting. The goal of the Health Clinic is to maintain a safe, confidential and respectful environment for all students. I agree that attendance is crucial to school success and I will work to return students back to the classroom as soon as possible.
I have been at NES since 2017 and reside in Nappanee with my husband.  We have 2 grown children who are married and a grandchild on the way. My passion for Nursing came to me as a child, and I pursued my dream! For me, School Nursing is a mission field, each day is a reward because you are able to make a difference in someone’s life by compassionately caring for them. I love being able to establish relationships based on trust that allow me to guide my students to better health.

If you send medication to school, it must be labeled with the student's name and in the original container and kept in the nurse's office.

If your child has a cold, fever (100 degrees or above), or the flu, please take extra precaution and keep your child(ren) at home. Our school policy states "a child must be fever free (without medication) for 24 hours before returning to school".

We appreciate your support in helping us fight the illnesses that can easily be spread without careful management.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to email me at [email protected].
