We are thrilled to have Officer Dan Hawkins as our School Resource Officer.  Officer Hawkins has served 13 years in law enforcement; 10 full time and 3 as a reserve officer.  He is certified as a Field Training Officer, a Chemical Breath Test Operator, in Background Investigation, and as a School Resource Officer.  He currently serves as the Department’s Pension Secretary, which is an elected position.  Officer Hawkins has received a Life Saving Award and was the 1st ever Reserve Officer of the Year. 

 

“During my time as a father, youth sports coach, and law enforcement officer, I have developed a passion for working with youth.  These experiences are what called me to School Resource work.  In my opinion, there is no greater honor than being entrusted to protect the youth of our community.”

 

Our students are already loving having Officer Danny out at recess, in the lunch room, and walking through the halls. His goal is to mentor and build relationships with the students and to help us  continue to provide a safe and secure learning environment.
