Office Hours: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm
School Hours: 8:40 am - 3:15 pm, except on Wednesdays when we have early dismissal at 2:45 p.m. Doors open at 8:15 a.m. for students who eat breakfast at school and 8:30 a.m. for those who do not. Students must be in their classroom by 8:40 a.m. to avoid being tardy.
Absences: To report an absence, please email our attendance secretary,
Mrs. Roa, or call the school at 773-7421 by 9 a.m.
Closings or Delays:
Wa-Nee utilizes Skylert through Skyward Family Access to broadcast information regarding emergencies, delays, closings, cancellations, and more via email, text, or voice messaging. There will also be a red banner at the top of all Wa-Nee websites announcing a delay or closing.
If the weather looks like it might be necessary for school officials to delay or close the schools, please listen to local television stations: WNDU-TV or WSBT-TV, or the following radio stations: WZOC (94.3 FM), WRSW (100.1 FM), WNSN (101.5 FM), WAWC (103.5 FM), WFRN (104.7 FM), WSBT (960 AM), WTRC (1340 AM)
All announcements will be made through Skylert and on these stations as early as possible. If you do not hear an announcement, then you can expect school to begin at the regular time.
Please do not call the school office to verify delay or closing information.In the event that the weather conditions become hazardous during the school day and school officials deem it necessary to close the schools early, please work out a plan with your child so he/she knows what to do under these conditions.
